How to get there
Shepherds Law is the name of the hill the Hermitage is on, and is indicated by name on maps (including Google Maps as above).
By bus
The 473 bus from Alnwick to Wooler goes via Glanton. From there you can walk. However, you can ask the driver to drop you on the main A697 as the bus comes out of Glanton. You then simply cross the road and follow the map.
When you get to the crossroads shown below, aim for either A or B. A is short, but grassy and steep. B is an unmetalled track for most of the way.
